Appreciation Days!

The leadership council delivered custom engraved tumblers to the custodians and bus drivers.  Special thanks to Asa, our Industrial Technology Teacher, and one of his senior students for engraving the mugs and Wynne, our Family Consumer Science teacher, for making cookies for the bus drivers.  We appreciate the support of the jeans for charity and hat days to help us pay for the gifts.

National Honor Society

The John Griffiths Chapter of the National Honor Society (NHS) is deep in tradition here at the Spa. The original charter dates back to 1962. Membership in the NHS is viewed by many as one of the most prestigious forms of student recognition in the nation. Students and parents may view the Candidate Information Packet by clicking here. Information is also available on the NHS website at s_nhs/index.asp. An overview of the NHS will be presented to eighth grade students as part of their high school scheduling process.

Key Club

"We promote caring as a way of life."

Key club is a student-led, high school organization.  Our members make the world a better place through service.  In doing so, we grow individuals and leaders by answering the call to lead, summoning the courage to engage and developing the heart to service.

Our students work with the Senior Center here in town on a weekly basis, raise money for those in need, run blood drives, decorate school for homecoming, and other activities.

The Cambridge Springs Kiwanis Club sponsors and work directly with us during our activities.

Student Senate

This is a school organization to help out not only the school but the community as well.  Student senate is responsible for Homecoming.  This is an annual event to showcase our students, develop school spirit, and have a dance to provide an opportunity for students to succeed.

Also, student senate is responsible for Bag-3-Ton.  We collect, sort, and help with the delivery to families in our community identified by local church agencies with food for the Holidays.  We also are able to help out school organizations with funds to make it easier to accomplish goals or better the school.  Finally, the principal may ask us to help with funds for the betterment of our school or facility.

Students available to join must be in grades 9 thru 12.  Must attend two meetings per year and participate in 1 fundraiser.
