Hello Students and Parents!
My name is Cory Fritz and I am the new School Counselor at Cambridge Springs Jr/Sr School. I am honored to be a part of PENNCREST School District and am very excited to work with the students, families, faculty, and Cambridge Springs community!
I received my B.A in Criminology with a minor in Psychology from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 2008. I then went on to obtaining my M.A in School Counseling with a duel certification K-12 from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania in 2013. Since then, I have had a variety of experience working with a diverse population of students and youth, as well as years working with individuals with intellectual disabilities and mental health.
Jr/Sr High School is such an important time of self-awareness and acknowledgement of personal interests and goals for planning for the future. My goal in the role of your School Counselor is to help students individually navigate through their own self-discovery related to academics, college and career readiness, middle and high school transitions, emotional/social struggles, family concerns and many others. It is important to me to work as a team with parents, guardians, and teachers to ensure each student receives the necessary support to be successful during their high school career.
I encourage you to reach out if you have any question or concerns throughout the school year and I look forward to getting to know everyone!
